GENEVA/ANTANANARIVO (ILO News) – Louisette Fanjamalala, has worked hard all her life, yet, like millions of working poor around the globe, she barely makes enough to survive.
Millions of people around the world work, but live in poverty, and especially women. A recent ILO report shows that more needs to be done to reduce inequalities and improve conditions for the working poor, who face a harsh daily reality.
14 February 2018 - Fanjamalala, from Madagascar, lives with four teenaged children – two of her own and two orphans she has adopted. Their home is a cramped one-room house in the Antananarivo suburb of Soavina. Her husband left years ago.

A vast Women’s March centered on the USA and with offshoots around the world showcased the growing influence of new social movements, as did the #MeToo phenomenon and Latin America’s “Ni Una Menos” – which denounced violence against women and girls.
“The indomitable spirit of the women leading powerful human rights movements reminds us that the desire for equality, dignity and justice will never be extinguished. There is a palpable sense that protest movements are on the rise globally. If governments stand against such movements, they will erode their legitimacy,” said the Amnesty International Secretary General.
19 февруари 2018, Скопје - Нов ревидиран Закон за буџети до крајот на годинава, со кој буџетите ќе се планираат во среднорочна рамка и ќе се создадат услови за воведување фискален совет, најави министерот за финансии Драган Тевдовски на првиот состанок на Советот за управување со јавните финансии, координативно тело кое е задолжено за следење на реформите предвидени со Програмата за реформа на управувањето со јавните финансии 2018 - 2021.
- Законот за буџети ја дава рамката за управување со јавните финансии во земјата. Со него се регулира целокупниот буџетски процес, вклучувајќи ги главните учесници во буџетскиот процес, постапката за подготовка и усвојување на Буџетот, извршувањето на Буџетот и завршната сметка, управувањето со буџетските распределби на средствата и подготовката на Среднорочната фискална стратегија. Со новиот ревидиран Закон за буџети ќе се направат промени во насока на поставување среднорочна рамка во која ќе се планираат годишните буџети - истакна Тевдовски.
