The coordinator of the Public Health and Women's Health Program from the ESE Association participated in the annual meeting of the ASTRA Network, which took place from May 27 to 28, 2024 in Warsaw, Poland. At the working meeting, the mission of the ASTRA network and the main goals of the network were redefined, and the strategic priorities of ASTRA for the coming period were defined. At the same time, a draft action plan was prepared for the work of the network in the future period, including identifying opportunities for the advancement of the work, increased visibility of the network, increasing the number of members in the network, determining opportunities for increased sustainability of the network as well as of the member organizations. ASTRA is a network of organizations which unites organizations working in the field of promotion of sexual and reproductive health and rights of women, girls, and men in Eastern, Central, and South-Eastern Europe as well as in Central Asia.
You will have the opportunity to hear what organizations are undertaking and in what ways they are demanding accountability from public institutions to overcome these problems in Montenegro, N. Macedonia, Albania and Romania.
Здружението ЕСЕ го поддржа „Заедничкото писмо по однос на откажувањето на мајската пред-сесија на Комитетот за правата на детето на Обединетите Нации“ (Joint letter on the cancellation of the May pre-session of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child) упатено до постојаните мисии на Обединетите Нации во Женева и Њујорк. Писмото е подготвено како реакција на откажувањето на мајската пред-сесија на Комитетот за правата на детето поради кризата на ликвидноста на Обединетите Нации, што претставува сериозен преседан кој има негативно влијание врз можноста на Комитетот да ја врши неговата суштинска работа на мониторинг на спроведувањето на Конвенцијата за правата на детето во земјите членки на ОН. Воедно откажувањето на предсесијата ја оневозможува интеракцијата на Комитетот со граѓанските организации и децата со цел мониторинг на спроведувањето на Конвенцијата.
Конференција „Одговор на побарувачката за вакцинација за Ковид-19: Научени лекции од Источна Европа“
Претставници на ЕСЕ учествуваа на тридневна конференција во Белград, Србија, насловена „Одговор на побарувачката за вакцинација за Ковид-19: Научени лекции од Источна Европа“. Конференцијата е дел од регионалниот проект на УСАИД, насловен МОМЕНТУМ – Трансформација и правичност на рутинската имунизација кој се спроведуваше во С. Македонија, Србија, Молдавија и Босна и Херцеговина. Здружението ЕСЕ го спроведуваше проектот во С. Македонија од јуни 2023 година, со главна цел за унапредување на здравите животни стилови и редовната вакцинација на возрасното население, односно, помеѓу лицата над 45 години со хронични заболувања. Конференцијата имаше за цел да се разменат искуствата од спроведувањето на проектот во С. Македонија, Србија и Молдавија, фокусирајќи се на направените адаптации на проектните активности, согласно на потребите во секоја држава, клучните успеси на проектот во секоја земја, како и предизвиците со кои се соочија организациите при имплементацијата на проектот.
In March, we assisted 19 women who suffered domestic violence, beneficiaries of the Legal Aid Center (LAC), to overcome the problem of violence and resolve common legal problems they faced, such as divorce, custody, child support, property division, and the realization of rights in the field of social protection. Legal advice was provided to address these legal problems, including guidance on initiating and navigating civil and criminal court proceedings for protection from domestic violence, as well as other legal and administrative procedures conducted before competent authorities. A total of 41 individual consultations with a lawyer were organized, and a total of 21 written submissions were prepared in proceedings for divorce (6), custody (4), child support (3), criminal cases (3), property matters (2), and the realization of social protection rights (3). Psychological counseling by a professional psychologist was provided for 6 women.
